Apply to the board

The board is Admittansens executive committee, the board is responsible for taking care of the lab and to shape the organisations activities. For example, the board is responsible for hosting open lab sessions during the semesters, to attend the student reception, managing contacts with companies and to arrange activities for our members.

To fit in the board, you should be passionate about electronics in particular and in associations in general! There are no particular skill requirements to apply, but if you have a specific interest in some subject, then that is obviously highly meritorious.

Positions:

  • Chairman:
    The chairman is responsible for leading the boards meetings and is Admittansens frontman.
  • Vice-chairman:
    The vice-chairman is the one who has the main responsibility for Admittansens business contacts.
  • Secretary:
    Writes the minutes of meeting and makes sure that the associations documentation is top notch!
  • Cashier:
    Is responsible for the associations finances and is also the debt collector.
  • Lab manager:
    Makes sure that the labs equipment is working and is responsible for buying parts. Knowledge of Chinese is meritorious.
  • IT:
    Is responsible for the associations server, web page and various other cyber activities. Black belt in Linux-fu is meritorious.
  • Fellows (~4 people):
    The boards muscles, responsibilities are assigned based on wishes, interests and the associations needs.

To apply to the board, write an email to “valberedning@admittansen.se” and tell as a bit about you and what position (if any) you want to run for. Then you have to attend Admittansens annual meeting and run for the position you want. To have a right to vote at the annual meeting, you have to be a member of the association.
